“Out with the old, in with the new” is a common saying that I can’t help but to repeat right now, but when I say it in regards to 2011 (the “old”) and 2012 (the “new”), it just has a certain bittersweet ring to it! Bittersweet because while I’m reminded of the close friends that I lost and mourned in 2011, what also comes to mind are the lessons that I learned, which I don’t ever plan to let go!
This may well be the shortest post that I will ever write, but I just don’t want to go on and on about much of anything right now….I am in a meditative mode. I am reflecting and meditating as I move forward…embracing living, not by the time on the clock, but in the moments I’m allowed to partake of! Letting go of the things that weigh me down, grabbing hold of peace within, appreciating the good things, and the so-called bad things, that I’ve experienced, knowing that all of my experiences are what form me.
Posed in a humble state of appreciation, glad to see today, January 2, 2012.
Happy New Year everyone! The “old year” is gone, but its lessons and experiences are never forgotten!
